WordPress as a Portfolio?

After poking around a bit to see what’s what with regard to starting a freelance writing career, it appears I’ll need a place to park some examples of my work in the form of a portfolio. Although there are more than a few sites out there, I am already familiar with WordPress from messing about with a blog so let’s see if it works for posting work as a portfolio that I can share.
